How to create an invoice with the generator
- Choose the document type and check the number. Invoice numbers must be unique and sequential; "Next invoice" increases the number for you.
- Enter your business details and your client's. They are remembered in this browser for next time.
- Add a line for each product or service with its quantity and unit price.
- Pick payment terms; the due date is calculated automatically. Add a discount, tax rate, shipping or a deposit already received if needed.
- Put your payment details in the notes, then click Print / Save as PDF.
Prefer a file you can keep editing? Download a Word or Excel template instead; the Excel invoice calculates totals the same way.

Is the invoice generator free?
Yes. There is no signup, no watermark and no limit on the number of invoices.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. The generator runs entirely in your browser. Your draft is saved only in this browser's local storage so it is still there when you come back; use "Clear all" to delete it.
How do I download the invoice as a PDF?
Click "Print / Save as PDF" and choose "Save as PDF" (or "Microsoft Print to PDF") as the printer. On a phone, use the share or print option and save to Files.
Can I convert a quote into an invoice?
Yes. Set the document type to Quote or Estimate, add the lines, then use "Convert to invoice" or "Create deposit invoice". See how to turn a quote into an invoice.
Does it calculate sales tax, VAT or GST?
Enter the tax name and rate and it calculates tax on the subtotal after discount. It does not know the rate for your location, so check what applies to you.
