Free Lawn Care Invoice Template
Lawn care is billed by the visit, usually to the same properties week after week. This template lists each mowing date on its own line, has a property-address field, and leaves room for extras such as hedge trimming, mulching, aeration, leaf clean-up or snow removal.
A typical monthly invoice reads like the sample: four weekly mows plus the extras done that month. Name the invoice by property and month ("Mowing invoice – 118 Maple Drive – June 2026") so clients with several properties can file it.
What's in the template
- Line-item columns: Service date, Service, Qty, Rate, Amount
- Your details, client (Bill to) block, invoice number, invoice date and due date
- Extra header fields: Property address
- Subtotal, tax at a rate you set, total
- Amount paid and balance due
- Payment terms and instructions section
Sample entries show how to fill it in; replace them with your own. All three files share the same layout. The Excel version calculates line amounts and totals; the PDF is a blank, print-ready form.
Best for

Tips for lawn care invoices
Invoice monthly for weekly customers
Bill at the end of each month with one line per visit. It is fewer invoices for you and easier for the customer to check.
Charge materials as a separate line
Mulch, seed, fertilizer and plants are usually billed by quantity on their own line, separate from labor.
Collect on the spot for one-off jobs
For one-time clean-ups, hand over a printed invoice marked "Due upon receipt" and take payment when you finish.
Frequently asked questions
What should a lawn care invoice include?
Your business name and contact details, the customer and property address, invoice number and date, the date and description of each service, the price per visit or per unit, the total, and how to pay.
How do I bill for weekly mowing?
Either one line per visit with its date (as in this template), or a single line such as "June mowing – 4 visits × $45". Per-visit lines make skipped weeks obvious.
Is lawn care subject to sales tax?
In some US states landscaping and lawn services are taxable; in others they are not. Check your state's department of revenue.
